This is great news not only for Stadia players, who won't have to depend on the platform's smaller player base to get some action online, but also for the fantastic precedent it sets for the industry and the fighting game genre. In February, the game added cross-play to the PS4 version, allowing Sony's platform to join existing players on PC, Xbox One and Switch, who had been enjoying cross-play multiplayer since launch. This makes Battle for the Grid the first, and currently only fighting game that supports cross-play on all five platforms. The game launches with cross-play, which means Stadia players will be able to join friends on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Switch. The fighting game will be free for Stadia Pro subscribers starting June 1.
